# Service and pricing

federal.contractors is a software-delivered monitoring and evidence
service. Every day it re-checks each monitored counterparty against public
SAM.gov registration and exclusions data, seals a dated verification record
for every completed check, and collects each period into one audit packet
that opens without an account. Change notices and exports come from the
same records. The canonical HTML version is https://federal.contractors/pricing.

The paid service is that recurring work and deliverable, sized by how many
active counterparties you monitor. Free exclusion checks and free
monitoring for 3 entities are available, described below. Two
limits stay in view: no one reviews your roster by hand, and nothing here
promises an audit, eligibility, or compliance outcome.

## Annual monitoring and verification records

One service with capacity options. Every capacity includes the same
evidence workflow. Pay by card, or request an invoice or purchase order for
the same annual service.

| Active counterparties | Annual service fee | Month-to-month |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Up to 25 | $490 per organization/year | $49/month |
| Up to 150 | $1,490 per organization/year | $149/month |
| Up to 1,000 | $3,990 per organization/year | $399/month |

Month-to-month service is a separate purchase billed each month, not an
installment plan for an annual commitment. Annual service is billed once
per year; card billing renews automatically until you cancel.

### Payment and activation

Card payment is confirmed by the payment processor's webhook, not by the
browser returning from checkout: paid monitoring activates when that
confirmation lands, and until then the purchase stays pending. Invoice and
purchase-order requests are handled manually; payment terms appear on the
issued invoice, and paid monitoring begins after payment or an authorized
recorded settlement. A purchase-order request alone does not start paid
coverage.

### What can be monitored

Each monitored counterparty is tracked by its Unique Entity ID (UEI). When
you import a list, names and CAGE codes are used to resolve that identity,
and anything ambiguous waits for your confirmation. A valid UEI does not
need a profile in this site's public directory to be monitored. Before
buying, sign in free, paste your actual list, and read the import preview:
it separates rows that resolve exactly from rows you must confirm and rows
that match nothing.

### Included at every capacity

- Daily checks against SAM.gov Exclusions
- A sealed verification record for each completed check
- Change notices
- Period audit packets
- CSV and JSON exports and permanent evidence access

### Term, renewal, and cancellation

- Cancel any time. Paid service continues through the end of the paid term.
  Partial periods are not refunded.
- When paid service ends, a roster within the 3-entity free
allowance continues automatically. An oversized roster continues only for
the saved free selection, up to 3 entities. With no saved
selection, the oversized roster pauses instead of choosing entities for you.
- Sealed verification records and packets already issued remain accessible
  after service ends.
- Monitoring evidence begins when monitoring starts. A purchase does not
supply records from before monitoring began, and reactivating paid
service resumes monitoring without backfilling an interruption. Public
records created for other accounts do not establish your account's
  monitoring coverage.
- If a card payment fails, paid service continues while the payment is
  retried.

## Free, ongoing

Monitoring for up to 3 entities is an ongoing allowance, not a
time-limited trial: daily re-checks run on the same schedule as paid
monitoring, and each completed check seals a verification record. No card
is required. Manual checks, sealed verification records, and public
contractor profiles are also free. Free monitoring issues the same
permanent, link-shareable records as paid monitoring.

Manual sealing carries ordinary daily allowances. Without an account you
can seal 20 records per day, counted per
IP address, so everyone sharing an office or campus connection draws on
one pool. Signed in, the allowance is
100 records per day for your account. These
allowances are separate from the free-check rate limit, from scheduled
monitoring records, which are included in monitoring service, and from
prepaid API record credits.

## Prepaid API record credits, separate from monitoring

Every account receives 50 free API-created verification records once,
not a recurring monthly grant. After that,
purchase credit packs upfront to create additional records through the API
or MCP: $50 per pack of 100 record credits ($0.50 per API-created
verification record). No monitoring subscription is required.

- Each new API-created record uses one credit
- Record retrieval and seal validation are included
- Scheduled monitoring records are included in monitoring service and do
  not consume API credits

If a credit purchase is still awaiting confirmation, refresh its status on
https://federal.contractors/keys or contact support. Do not start another purchase to resolve
a delayed payment confirmation.

## Institutional purchasing

Request an annual invoice or purchase order through https://federal.contractors/buying.
Sign in once so there is an application account to activate. Provide the
service account email separately from the billing contact and include the
organization name and purchase-order requirements. The request is handled
manually and does not itself activate paid service.

## Notes

A free SAM.gov search is always sufficient for the compliance duty (2 CFR
180.300); you pay for documentation, recurring coverage, and time, never
for access to public data. Every status shown by the service is tied to a
source-specific date. Nothing here claims real-time government data.
