Run an exclusion check
The check runs against the latest successfully validated SAM.gov Exclusions public extract.
How this check works and what it does not decide
What it searches
Matches your legal name, UEI, or CAGE query against the accepted rows in the latest successfully validated SAM.gov Exclusions public extract. The loader requires the expected member and schema, limits invalid rows, and checks population movement before replacing active data. Name checks report the full candidate count, return up to 200 rows for review, and disclose when that list is truncated. State debarment lists are not yet covered.
Matching and identity
An exact UEI match ties an active exclusion record to the searched UEI. CAGE and name candidates are potential matches: the check records the registry field agreements and contradictions, and a name match never confirms identity.
What it does not decide
The check does not determine eligibility or responsibility. A sealed record is evidence of diligence, not a verdict. A free SAM.gov search satisfies 2 CFR 180.300 on its own, and always will. This tool adds a check against the retained daily extract, a separate check timestamp, and source snapshot provenance.
Dates, records, and integrity
Every result separates the check time, extract as-of date, and retrieval time. Sealing saves the exact completed check you reviewed — its existing result, dated source, and check time — without rerunning the query or consulting a newer source. The record carries that result with its dates, source digest, methods, identity basis, and candidate completeness, and lists its own creation time separately from the check time. Open the record to inspect the saved evidence. It retains the source SHA-256. A matching checksum alone shows byte consistency. In production, new records also carry an issuer signature and independent timestamp; the record page states which proofs are present. Those proofs bind federal.contractors to the exact evidence bytes and show that the signature existed no later than the timestamp. They do not prove source truth, matching correctness, identity, check execution time, or a legal outcome. SCITT and timestamp details.
